The white glaze on this bowl are reminiscent of the frothy ocean water as it kisses the shore with curves and drips so lovely, only nature could have made them. When the bowl was in the kiln, I reached deep into the bed of embers with a special rake and stirred it around again and again for many hours. This vital process caused the molten wood ash and salt to get carried along by the fire and spread around the pots leaving indelible, shining marks upon each one where the fire lapped against them like waves on the shore.
